Q: Why is the speed not as fast as advertised?

A: The operating speed of the product depends on the type of laptop, M.2 SSD and USB port. To achieve the maximum 40Gbps speed, recommend to use PICE4.0 SSD to connect to USB4 interface or Thunderbolt 3/4 interface to experience the claim of high-speed up to 3800MB/s.

Q: Why does it get hot?

A: It is normal for high-performance SSDs to generate heat during operation. To maintain performance, the internal heat generated will be quickly transferred to the enclosure case surface through the metal casing and thermal pad, efficiently conducts heat away from the SSD during operation. Please refrain from holding the product during use.

Q: After I install the SSD, the computer can’t read it through the enclosure?

A: Yes, brand new SSDs should be formatted before it can be used.For cross-platform compatibility With both Windows and macOS, we recommend formatting the drive as exFAT. This enclosure only support NVMe SSDs, it does not support SATA SSDs.

Q: How to protect data security？

A: The enclosure’s high-speed read and write performance is enabled by the USB4 or Thunderbolt transfer protocol. To prevent data loss, please perform safe eject operation on your computer before unplugging the SSD and Wait until you hear the prompt before removing the device.
