SmallRig Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 4183 is designed to protect camera and provide accessory mounting points. The modular cage consists of a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail is secured on the top via two 1/4″-20 screws and removed to allow installing the original XLR top handle; the U-shaped cage is fixed via 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and at the bottom to prevent twisting, with a cushion against scratches. At the battery door there is a hinge arm that fits camera curve for improved grip experience for little finger. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp protects interfaces to ensure stable signal transmission. Among its varied accessory mounts, 1/4″-20 holes support Magic Arm 2070; ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes connect Top Handle 2165C or Monitor Mount 2903B; the top NATO rail supports Top Handle 3322, and the left one, Side Handle 2187B; 1/4″-20 locating holes at the top-left quarter and on the left side attach Rod Clamp 3598 for follow focus; two 1/4″-20 holes on the right side allow being securely mounted onto a quick release plate for vertical shooting; the cold shoe mount supports microphone, LED light; and the QD port at the bottom fits QD strap. An Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom can attach DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro directly or quick release plate (height increase pad) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and Arca-Type Quick Release Plate 3154. Both sides and the bottom have holes for Hand Strap 3848 and Shoulder Strap PSC2428. A magnetic spanner is also included for easy assembly and disassembly.
Designed Sony FX30 / FX3: The FX30 / FX3 cage adopts modular design, including a top slider module and a U-shaped cage module. The top slider module is fixed by two 1/4″-20 screws, and can be compatible with the original XLR after disassembly; the U-shaped cage module is fixed by 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and the bottom, which is stable and does not deflect. Equipped with a dedicated HDMI cable clamp to protect the interface and ensure the signal stability during shooting.
Multiple Mounting Points: The cage includes 1/4″-20 holes to attach Magic Arm 3873; the locating hole for ARRI can attach Top Handle 3765/2165C or Monitor Mount 2903B; the side NATO rail can attach Side Handle 3813; the 1/4€ -20 positioning holes on the upper left corner and left side can attach Rod Clamp 3598 for follow focus; two 1/4€ -20 holes on the side can attach quick release plate to prevent deflection when shooting vertically; built-in cold shoe can attach microphones, LED video lights;
Quick Release Plate for Arca: The QR plate at the bottom is compatible for DJI , RSC 2, , Pro, quick release plate (height increase pad) and plate for Arca 3154. Holes for shoulder straps and wrist straps are reserved on both sides and bottom to attach Wrist Strap 3848, Shoulder Strap PSC2428. The bottom QD interface is compatible with QD shoulder straps. The built-in magnetic suction wrench at the bottom is convenient for disassembly and assembly.
Ergonomic design: The position of the battery compartment is designed with an opening and closing wrench, which fits the curve of the fuselage better, solves the problem of placing the little finger and improves the grip feeling. There are built-in protective gaskets on the contact surface with the camera body to prevent the camera from being scratched.
Note: 1. The spacing between the 1/4″ holes on the top slider is 27mm, so it is not compatible with accessories with a spacing of 18mm, such as Monitor Mount 2904/2294/1842, Top Handle 1446/1638, etc. 2. When using the original XLR handle, please remove the top slider first. 3. Due to the craftsmanship of manual grinding technology, this is normal situation while there are slight wear trace on the surface
