This Etzin M.2 PCI-e NVMe & AHCI SSD “M-Key” Adapter Card
This adapter allows you to replace the original proprietary SSD on your Laptop with a non-proprietary SSD of your choice. This is a much cheaper option than replacing the entire laptop or buying another propriety SSD!
Please note: Not all M.2 SSDs are compatible with laptop s. Please ensure you have a compatible SSD before purchasing!

IMPORTANT: In order to use an NVMe drive you must update to at least 10.13 High Sierra before upgrading the SSD as the computer’s firmware needs to be updated first. Your SSD will not work without updating first.
OSX 10.11 and 10.12: – Only AHCI is supported, there is no support for NVMe. You must update to 10.13 and above first if you wish to install an NVMe SSD.
OSX 10.13 to 10.15: – NVMe is supported. Please see the list of SSDs below that are known to be compatible. 2013 and 2014 Laptop Air and Pros may experience issues waking up from Hibernation Mode using NVMe SSDs. 2015 Laptop Air and Pros do not have this issue. To address this hibernation issue in 2013 and 2014 models, the system ROM can either be modified, or hibernation can be disabled by executing “pmset -a standby 0”. 2015 models do not require firmware mods.
