The T2 ring simply attaches to the camera body in place of the camera lens allowing the telescope to become the camera lens. This method of astrophotography is known as prime focus imaging and will provide stunning images of the night sky. You can also place a Barlow lens before the T adaptor to increase the magnification, ideal for Lunar or Planetary imaging.
