JetDrive Toolbox

Exclusively developed by Transcend, JetDrive Toolbox helps maintain a healthy and efficient SSD by keeping it up-to-date, preventing functional degradation, and predicting problems before they happen. JetDrive Toolbox clearly displays drive information, S.M.A.R.T. status for possible drive failure, health indicators for estimated lifespan, and facilitates firmware upgrades. It can also identify your Mac to quickly find out which of our Apple product suits your computer.

Step 1: Check your Mac model

The JetDrive 855, JetDrive 850, JetDrive 825, and JetDrive 820 are compatible with MacBook Air 11″ & 13″ (Mid 2013 – 2017), MacBook Pro Retina 13″ & 15″ (Late 2013 – Mid 2015), Mac mini (Late 2014), and Mac Pro (Late 2013).

Step 2: Check your system

The JetDrive 855 and JetDrive 850 are only compatible with devices running macOS High Sierra (10.13) or later. Please upgrade your macOS to High Sierra (10.13) before the installation. If your Mac model cannot be upgraded to macOS High Sierra (10.13), please use Transcend’s JetDrive 820 or JetDrive 825 instead.

Step 3: Need an enclosure?

Transcend’s JetDrive 855 Thunderbolt PCIe portable SSD kit combines a JetDrive 850 PCIe SSD and a sleek aluminum Thunderbolt enclosure, with the Inner SSD removable for more versatile use based on your preferences, while the JetDrive 850 features an SSD only.
